Konami Announces Battle: Los Angeles For Xbox 360, PC And PS3

If you feel first-person shooters have been in short supply as of late, then Konami and Saber Interactive have some interactive medicine to quell your pains of boredom. A new FPS based on the upcoming film Battle: Los Angeles is set to arrive on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 next month.

Careen Yapp, Vice President of Acquisitions and Franchise Development Konami Digital Entertainment, commented in the press release, saying…

"Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. jumped at the opportunity to team up with Columbia Pictures and publish the Battle: Los Angeles video game," ... "We love the movie and it was a great experience working with Saber - there were some great ideas about how to expand the story into a game. It's a great chance for gamers and moviegoers to play out the world of the film."

It wasn’t long ago that Pete Haas reported on the possibility of a Battle: Los Angeles game, and it only took a few weeks and that information has been confirmed. The real question is whether or not this will be a legitimately fun experience or a cheap cash-in. The fact that it’s on the digital platforms and not a boxed retail game makes me question the quality of the game.
